Paris Peace Forum 2025: Inyene Agro's CEO,Blessing Akpan joins global leaders to tackle malnutrition 

The fight against malnutrition took the center stage as CEO of Inyene Agro Processing Factory,Blessing Akpan joined global leaders at the Paris Peace Forum 2025 in France.

Held at the Palais de Chaillot in Paris from October 29-30, 2025, the forum focused on "New Coalitions for Peace, People, and the Planet." 

The high-level, closed-door roundtable brought together leaders from industry, finance, philanthropy, government, and international organizations to discuss operationalizing the Paris Declaration as a roadmap for improving markets for nutrition. 

The Paris Declaration on Business & Nutrition 2030 outlines a roadmap for transforming food systems by 2030, prioritizing nutrition and health. Blessing's participation in the forum emphasized the need for a multi-sectoral approach to address malnutrition in all its forms,which affects health,climate, and economies. 

The declaration calls on governments, businesses, investors, and civil society to collaborate in creating a healthier and more sustainable nutrition economy.

As the only delegate from Nigeria-West Africa, Akpan's presence at the forum highlighted her commitment to promoting sustainable agriculture and nutrition security, particularly in Nigeria and nearby African countries. 

According to her remark on the sides of the conference, 'the session opened up new international market opportunities that will benefit farmers, food processors, and consumers in Nigeria and other countries'.

She added that 'the forum explored ways to deliver affordable, healthy, and locally relevant food through strategic partnerships, localize manufacturing and supply chains for nutrition commodities, and scale up impact through concrete examples and proven approaches of impact investment'. 

Miss Akpan is a renowned expert in agricultural entrepreneurship and nutrition known for her flagship product ' Inyene Agro cassava flakes a.k.a Garri wey go Harvard',her participation in the global conversation on nutrition and food security is expected to yield significant results in the food ecosystem in Africa,Nigeria and Akwa Ibom in particular,being her home state. 

It is on record that on return from Nutrition for Growth summit in Paris earlier in March 2025,she collaborated with GBhub Africa to start a 100 hectares Soya beans empowerment scheme in Nassarawa state that is impacting 100 smallholder farmers,which has also led to the expansion to Benue state.
