AKWA MUSIC FESTIVAL APPOINTS NELSON NSEABASI AS FESTIVAL MANAGER

The organizers of Akwa Music Festival have officially announced the appointment of Talent Bank Nigeria founder, Nelson NseAbasi, as Festival Manager for the forthcoming 2026 edition of the festival.

The appointment was confirmed by the Project Adviser, Mr. Victor Basil, during a chat with journalists on Saturday, June 27, 2026, in Uyo.

According to him, the appointment places Nelson NseAbasi at the core of the festival's management structure, with responsibilities including strategic planning, talent coordination, partnership development, logistics management, and overseeing the successful execution of the highly anticipated entertainment event.

Now in its fourth edition, Akwa Music Festival has continued to establish itself as one of the state's growing platforms dedicated to promoting music, arts, and creative talent while creating opportunities for artists and industry stakeholders to reach wider audiences.

Speaking on the appointment, the organizers expressed confidence in Nelson NseAbasi's experience and commitment, noting that his background in talent management, media relations, and event coordination makes him well suited for the role.

Mr. Basil stated that he had been adequately briefed by the Project Progenitor, Mr. Cyril Idongesit. He added that the decision reflects the festival's determination to deliver a bigger and more impactful experience for participants, performers, and attendees, while strengthening planning, coordination, and overall event delivery.

In his response, Nelson NseAbasi expressed appreciation for the opportunity and reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with the festival team to deliver a memorable event that will showcase the richness of Akwa Ibom's creative industry.

With preparations already underway, expectations are high as stakeholders look forward to an exciting edition of Akwa Music Festival under the strengthened management structure.
