Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti state accuses the federal government of failing to construct even a 100-meter road in the state

The Ekiti state governor, Ayo Fayose, has said he will not welcome Muhammadu Buhari when the president visits the state as requested in a letter to him.
The Guardian reports that the governor speaking in Ado-Ekiti on Thursday, July 5, accused the federal government of failing to construct even a 100-meter road in the state since it came into office.

He said: “I am not going to receive the president. If they think that they can use the police to intimidate us, it is a lie.
Fayose said he was confident that the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Ekiti July 14 governorship election, Kolapo Olusola Eleka, will win the poll. The governor accused the federal government of arresting members of the PDP.
He said: “Party leaders at the rally said: “PDP has been rebranded and repositioned to gain the lost grounds. We will rescue Nigeria from all sorts of inhuman treatment meted out by the APC.”
