Founded in 2005 by Opara C. Jonathan, the club has become a good symbol, hence the motto *"On the verge of making it real"*
Sparrow Sport Football club is one of the most widely supported teams in Sango, Ogun state and the club has one of the largest social media following among sport teams.
Domestically, Sparrow has won lot of Laurels e.g
*EDNA SMITH CUP
*SOUTH EAST FEYSOC INVITATIONAL TOURNAMENT
*SHALOM SUPER CUP
*NFCA SUPER 4 COMPETITION etc

Sparrow's official colours were blue and white from 2005 until 2016, though occasionally adorned lemon and ceremonial ware of white and red. The club change to red and white colour scheme in 2017.

Sparrow's kit has changed considerably over the course of the club's history. The club's kit featured various combination of blue and white stripes, before a new colour scheme of red and white was adopted for the 2017 season.
Sparrow are currently participating in Unity cup, Sango. They are through to semi final, they topped the group with 9points.
Sparrow Sport Football Club are yet to have a sponsorship.

Opara C. Jonathan (OCJ)
The CEO Opara C. Jonathan (OCJ) is the Director of Sparrow Sport. He is a Sportprenuer who has contributed a lot in changing the face of football in his community. Currently, he is the Chairman of The Nigeria Football Coaches Association and also the LOC Chairman of the ongoing Unity Cup in Sango OTA. He is a goal getter and a pace setter. A never say die spirited young man who hails from IMO State, Nigeria but born and breed up in Ogun state, Nigeria. He believes in African dream and part of his vision is to give hope to African footballers. And won't it sound funny if we let you know that he sings too???....
